Political committees

One row per observed Federal Election Commission committee. The current reader acquires from the unfiltered OpenFEC /v1/committees/ endpoint through SpicyDocs; the delivered seed's selected scope is stated above. SpicyRegs preserves the existing 16 fields and JSON arrays, merges complete fresh traversals with prior observations by committee_id, and lets a fresh whole row replace its prior row. Raw page captures and acquisition manifests remain in FEC_CAPTURE_DIR. This identity/reference table can join other records carrying an FEC committee identifier. The company, union or association behind a PAC (FEC's connected organization) is not a column here: join fec_committee_history on committee_id and read connected_organization_name, one value per two-year cycle as that cycle's committee master states it (take the latest cycle for the current sponsor). All columns are VARCHAR; array-valued fields are JSON strings.

Coverage. Not a range. The OpenFEC committee registry: the whole registry is walked every Sunday (decision 53) and committees that filed in the last week are read daily; rows only an earlier walk saw are kept. first_file_date and last_file_date describe filing activity, not acquisition. party	VARCHAR	Political party code, when set (e.g. DEM, REP, W). Often null for non-party committees.
