Legislator terms

One row per term a legislator served, in the crosswalk's own order. All columns are stored as VARCHAR.

Coverage. Sampled. The fork selection retains every term from the same complete September 22, 2026 UTC captures as members. All mapped values, parent joins and per-member term counts agree with the originals; earlier retained term identities survive. Source order defines term_index. The single party value per term does not reproduce the finer party_affiliations histories, which the crosswalk records only for terms with a mid-term party change; a member with no affiliation interval never switched. bioguide_id	VARCHAR	The legislator who served this term.
term_index	VARCHAR	Zero-based position in the crosswalk's own terms list; part of the identity.
term_type	VARCHAR	Chamber of this term: rep or sen.
term_start	VARCHAR	Start date of this term.
term_end	VARCHAR	End date of this term, where the crosswalk states one.
term_state	VARCHAR	State this term was served for.
term_party	VARCHAR	The separate source term-level party assertion, not a dated history.
term_district	VARCHAR	District for this term, spelled as the publisher does; absent for a Senate term.
observed_at	VARCHAR	The parent capture's instant, carried so a term list versions with the member row it came from.
party_affiliations_state	VARCHAR	Nested list state: unread, absent, null, empty or populated.
