Legislators

One row per legislator in one capture of the community crosswalk. Split from member_terms because one row cannot hold a chamber switch. All columns are stored as VARCHAR.

Coverage. Sampled. The fork selection covers both complete community crosswalk files captured September 22, 2026 UTC: current and historical legislators. Every declared field was checked against the retained originals, and all earlier retained identities and native values survive. The source supplies FEC candidate IDs and LIS IDs for a subset of members; absent IDs remain absent. This qualifies the captured community files, not an independently complete official roster. `current_term_type`	`VARCHAR`	Chamber of the latest term: rep or sen.
`current_term_state`	`VARCHAR`	State of the latest term.
`current_term_party`	`VARCHAR`	Party of the latest term, as the crosswalk states it for that term.
`current_term_district`	`VARCHAR`	District of the latest term; absent for a Senate term.
`roster`	`VARCHAR`	Which file this record came from: current or historical.
`observed_at`	`VARCHAR`	When the file was captured; the merge prefers the larger value.
